Welcome to the Tribal Courts and Justice Services
Tribal Court Mission Statement
Tribal Courts are an important component for the exercise of the sovereignty of any Tribe. The past decade has witnessed a tremendous growth of an Indian Tribe’s ability to self rule. Along with the development and growth of self-rule, so has the necessity for their courts to grow and professionalize to be compatible with their non-Tribal counterparts and to ensure the fair and equal administration of justice in Indian Country. The Stillaguamish Tribal Court is a necessary function of government as required by the tribe’s constitution and more importantly, to provide for the health, safety and welfare of Tribal members and visitors to their lands. The Court’s staff, both judicial and administrative, shall ensure that these principals of fair and equal justice for all are fulfilled.
