Holiday Giving 2023

Thursday November 30, 2023, the Tribe held a Holiday Giving Check Presentation at the Stillaguamish Tribe Admin Building. This year the Tribe donated to A Christmas Wish, Arlington Food Bank, Bender’s One Big Give benefiting Seattle Children’s Hospital Foundation, Cocoon House and Providence General Foundation. The event opened with the Tribe’s Cultural Resources Department sharing a few words and singing a traditional Coast Salish song. Next, Stillaguamish Chairman Eric White shared a little bit about why these organizations were chosen and introduced each of the organizations to those in attendance. The BIG checks, $100,000 each, were then presented to each organization. None of the recipients knew how much they were receiving so it was a very emotional moment. Each organization then shared a few words of thanks to the Tribe for what the money means to their organizations and most importantly the people who are in need of services and support. It was a very heartwarming event which had everyone in attendance feeling the spirit of giving this holiday season!
